My experiences as an air traffic controller, while in the US Air Force, are brought to life in this book. Serving in England, Saudi Arabia and the USA gave me enough excitement to know that I would be on medication that had not even been developed yet. Although air travel is easier today - better planes, jet engines, etc. - travel in the 50's was definately an experience. Some of the same MAYDAYS happen today, but not as often. It may be safer, but the load is heavier.
